Step One: Get a starting point as an apprentice or volunteer to offer free coaching services to a new soccer team.

Step Two: Enroll to a soccer coaches' certification. As per the FIFA (the world football governing body), the coaching licenses range from grade "E" to grade "A". basically, coaching license "E" is probably the lowest rank that progresses upwards through grade D, C, B and A. Each grade takes aproximatelly 15 to forty hours of training and examinations that are both practical and theoretical, after which leads to the award of a certificate.

Step Three: armed with a soccer coaching license, the trained coach can competitively apply or even offer to train some soccer team. A coaching license in any of the grades allows the person to be compensated for the coaching services as a salary, honorarium or wage for the services of theirs. As a novice however, it may not be automatic that you will attain full coaching status of seasoned teams. In such cases therefore, the probability of starting as an assistant coach is high.
